List your nonprofit as their current employer.

When adding their new role to their “Experience” section, they can select your organization’s LinkedIn Page from the dropdown menu. This will add your nonprofit’s logo to their profile.

Update their headline.

Your new hire’s LinkedIn headline will default to their current job title, but they can customize it if they choose (ex. highlighting the impact of their role). Provide some example headlines to inspire them.

Add a relevant background photo. 

Let them know this is optional, but consider providing some branded banners they can choose from if they’d like to represent the nonprofit. Share these with everyone at your organization to create a sense of unity.

Include a link in their email signature. 

Once your new hire has updated their LinkedIn profile, ask them to link to it in their work email signature. This way, anyone they email outside of the organization has an easy way to connect with them, expanding your nonprofit’s collective network.
